Kayak and SUP rental in Donostia-San Sebastián, located in the harbour, next to the Aquarium, with direct access to La Concha Bay. Since 2007 we have been offering single, double and family kayak rental, stand up paddle (SUP), guided tours and activities for groups, families and companies. No previous experience required, open from April 1st. Certified professional team, assistance in Spanish, Basque, English and French.

DISCOVER SANTA CLARA ISLAND
Santa Clara Island is the favourite destination of our visitors. Just 800 metres from our location, you can reach it by kayak or SUP in about 20 minutes, explore its beach and enjoy unique views of La Concha Bay.

How much does it cost to rent a kayak or SUP in Donostia?
Prices start from €14/hour for a single kayak or individual SUP. A double kayak starts from €22/hour and a family kayak from €28/hour. All prices include the kayak or board, paddle, life jacket and waterproof bag.
Do I need previous experience to rent a kayak or SUP?
No. Our activities are suitable for all levels. Before heading out we’ll explain everything you need to know to enjoy the experience safely. The only requirement is that you can swim.
Can I paddle to Santa Clara Island by kayak or SUP?
Yes, it’s one of our favourite destinations. The island is about 15-20 minutes by kayak from our base in the harbour, next to the Aquarium. Depending on the tide we’ll advise you on the best landing spot. You can go independently with our rental or book a tour.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my booking?
If sea conditions are not safe enough to carry out the activity, we will cancel and offer you the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund.
Where is the kayak launch point located?
Our base is located exactly on the harbor’s kayak launch ramp. This is the most convenient location to avoid unnecessary physical effort, as you won’t have to carry your material—kayaks, paddleboards, etc.—across the harbor promenade.
Moreover, it is a true privilege to begin your journey here; in the 16th century, this was the most important port in the world due to the whaling oil trade.
Do I need to be in peak physical condition to rent a kayak or paddle surf?
Not at all. Most of the physical strain in kayaking actually comes from transporting the equipment to the water. Since we are located directly on the harbor’s launch ramp, we’ve eliminated that step entirely. Our guests save all their energy for paddling, making us the most accessible option in the area—no heavy lifting or long walks with the kayak o paddle board required.
What’s included and what is the gear like?
We provide everything for a safe experience: ISO 12402 certified life jackets, paddles, and a dry bag or waterproof container for your belongings. Our equipment (kayaks and SUP boards) is top-tier and kept in mint condition.

Do you offer guided tours?
Our two-hour guided tours offer a unique perspective of San Sebastian. We’ll share how this harbor led the world in the 16th century through whaling expeditions and the whale oil trade. It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity to understand the identity of a city that was once a global maritime power, as you paddle through the same waters as the historic whalers.
